In this book, witches fly while yelling "hot apples!" Cackle cackle. I don't remember whether they say "cackle" or whether that's a description of their laugh following the exclamation of "hot apples!"
The vibe of the book in my mind is much like the book Little Witch's Big Night, which is an easy reader.
