It doesn't matter which I try to subsort to which or whether I do it by pushing the sort order button or sequentially click the column headingd, subsorting just plain doesn't work

Looking in my own catalogue, the problem seems to be that date added divides the date into a few separate sections. That is, the subsort doesn't really fail completely, but you don't get a full subsort of the whole entry date. There are a few runs of order within the date.
This doesn't make a lot of difference to you, but it might help track down the bug. This is for any subsort under entry date.

This is not a bug. Date added is really shorthand for "timestamp added", and is a unique value - when you use date added as your primary sort you cannot choose a secondary sort, since there are no two books added simulataneously.

>3 lorax: Thank you. I don't like that, but if that is the way it is by design then you are correct, it is not a bug. Perhaps the documentation should make that clear somewhere, like in the description of subsort.
