Alex Kershaw wrote an excellent tribute to noted naval historian James Hornfischer in the May 28-29, 2022, edition of the Wall Street Journal at page C 16.
James Hornfischer passed away in June of 2021 at the age of fifty-five from brain cancer. He is the author of Ship of Ghosts, Neptune's Inferno, The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors, and The Fleet at Flood Tide.
