Found: Older fantasy book skeleton main character

Ok internet I need you help. I’m looking for a book I once read but I can’t remember much about it. All I can remember is it was a silly fantasy novel about a talking skeleton on some type of quest and he eventually falls in love with a woman. I know there was something about only finding the thing you are looking for in the last place you look. It was a medieval type fantasy, and the skeleton was the main character. I think the woman he falls for was a princess, and there was also a giant or Cyclopes on the adventure with them. In the end the skeleton and woman have some kind of spell put on them so they can switch back and forth between being skeletons and fleshy people. I also remember the skeleton talking about kicking female skeletons in the pelvis in order to make babies?? I think the title was also some kind of pun. The cover was hand drawn and kind of cartoony and I’m pretty sure it had a skeleton on the front. I thought it might have been a piers Anthony book but I can’t find anything he’s written where the skeleton is the MAIN character. It was definitely from that time of funny fantasy type books though. I think it was written in the 80s or 90s by I read it in the mid to early 2000s Please help! It’s driving me crazy
