Bored office man pretends to be someone else on the phone.

I remember the cover being an office desk with a plaque on it; the name on the name tag presumably being the book's cover. The closest thing I can remember as to the book's title is "Famous". Although, none of my google searches got me any useful results. I googled terms about the book title, book cover, and the plot. What I remember of the plot: The MC (a guy) gets a new phone. But he starts getting calls from people who have mistaken his phone number for someone else with a similar number, a guy named “Mark” I think. He tells a woman, who is first to accidentally call him, that they have the wrong number, but the mystery woman insists she doesn't. After this, the MC tries to get his phone number changed, but is told he cannot for whatever reason. The MC then pretends to be “Mark” whenever he gets a call from someone Mark knows, maybe because he finds Mark’s life more interesting than his own. Around when I stopped reading, was when some people started being skeptical with the MC (inconsistencies with the MC’s lies and the real Mark they know I presume). The title of the book is probably “Famous” because of the character Mark being famous and all. My goal here is to pretty much to find the author of this book so I can actually track it down.
