Teen fiction book about arranged marriages

I read this teen fiction book between the years 2013 and 2015. I cannot remember the title or the author but the book was about a girl who lived in a society where all the marriages were arranged. She wanted to marry her best friend who was a guy but she was chosen to marry someone else and her best friend was chosen to marry another girl. There was also another place like a village where people who didn't want to live in their arranged marriages could go and they could be with the person they wanted to be with and this girl and her best friend who she wanted to marry went and stayed a weekend there. I know the people who lived in that village were sometimes marked like they had like A cut above their eye or their finger was cut off. That's all I can remember about the book for now.
