Found: Couple cannot touch otherwise man "vanishes".

Looking for a book my girlfriend told me about. She remembers reading a book a few years back (around 10 years back maybe, not sure if it was recent at the time or if it had been published a while before then) about a couple where the man would simply "vanish" or "disintegrate" if they touched (this is all she can remember). I'm not sure what genre it is, possibly romance or drama, but my girlfriend did mention there is a somewhat recent sequel to it that she wants to read but she can't remember the name of either books, which is the reason why I'm trying to find this book for her.

This might be The Lost Night by Jayne Castle. The hero has a psychic talent that can make him invisible for short periods of time, and his first wife leaves him because of it. It was pubbed in 2012, and there are sequels to it.

>2 leennnadine: Thank you for your reply but I'm afraid it was more like being sent to another dimension/universe/world/plane of existence (like some sort of darkness) rather than turning invisible (I didn't explain it the best I could the first time, I apologize); as well as being more of a cheesy/sad romance story than a sci-fi paranormal one, I believe.

PS.: my girlfriend just told me she also remembers them being a highschool couple and they'd have to touch each other with gloves (otherwise the boy would be sent to the "darkness"), and apparently it's a spell for which they need to find a potion to revert it; so far this is everything she can remember.

PSS.: she just found the book somehow; it was "Evermore" from "The Immortals" series by Alyson Noel :) thank you for your help tho :D
