Using inventory bar codes for books with multiple copies

I'm hoping someone can help. I can add individual books to my library and include the inventory bar code. I see that there is a field that asks how many copies of a book. Is there a way to enter the bar codes for the multiple copies of a single book, or do I have to enter each copy as a separate entry? I'd like people to be able to search and find only 1 entry that shows the multiple copies available, and their status. Any thoughts, tips, or advice?

Barcodes are one book one code, as far as I know. So if you had three copies of a book, all of them would get the same bar code if you marked it as three copies.

LibraryThing and TinyCat unfortunately do not yet have copies management (the "Copies" field on LT existed long before any lending capabilities or TinyCat were developed), so >3 norabelle414: is correct: you would need to catalog each copy of your book/s separately if you wanted to track lending for them.
