Recent News dried up?

On my homepage, I have the recent news module set for 10 books, but lately I've been seeing fewer, and now it's only one!

Interesting, my settings for that module are set to 10 covers and I'm only seeing 9. (NB: it shows through March 30, then stops there. Unsure if coincidence or not yet.)

Going to dig a bit on this.

ETA: playing with the settings in my own account here:
- I can change the number of covers to show, no matter what I select (15, 20, 10, etc.) I always see one less than I should be seeing.
- I cannot check to see "Your Contacts" and "Test Accounts" -- I check the boxes and can save, but when I open the edit settings box back up they're still un-checked.
- On the contrary, I can un-check any currently-checked "Show what connections" I like.
- If I go from all 3 "Show what news" settings to just "Adding books", I end up seeing one more cover than I'm supposed to per my settings. If I select just 2 out of the 3 "Show what news" options (e.g. "Adding books" and "Rating books", and/or "Rating books" and "Reviewing books", and/or "Adding books" and "Reviewing books"), I see the correct number of covers.

Something's definitely amiss. I haven't changed my settings for this module, and it was working correctly for a long, long time. (I see 6 now.)

I have 7, regardless of my settings.

Now I have eleven!

Seven today. It does seem to be a pretty elastic interpretation of "10."

My setting are for 10 too, and I'm seeing 5. (It's still the most recent 5 though)

ETA: I just noticed I also have my "shelves" set to 1 though. That might be part of the issue.

ETA: Changing that to 2 fixed it for me

I think this is showing enough books/items, now, playing around with my settings (actually showing 1 more than my setting, which I think is fine)... how's everyone else's looking?

This issue seems to have arisen again. I had only one book in "Recent News" yesterday. This morning it's two.

Back up to six ...

Up to nine now, so I guess it's ok?
