Your Books Column Widths changing with sort

Not sure when this started, but today it is really annoying me:
Whenever I sort my Your Books page by anything other than Comments, the Comments field doubles in width.
Sorting by Comments shrinks it back, but I don't know why it gets so wide with any other sort.
I've chosen my columns so that they all fit nicely on my screen . . . which they did, until this started. Now the widening of the Comments field pushes the all important box of actions off the screen to the right . . . grrrrr.
BTW, most of the subsets of books I'm looking at today don't even have anything in the comments field . . . but I do use it so would rather not have to eliminate it from the display . . . though of course that's going to be my temporary fix.
Assuming this column width change isn't something that one would expect to happen . . . correct me if I'm wrong.

I've tried in both Opera 84 and Chrome 99 on my Mac Mini M1 (arm64) desktop (running MacOS 11.6.5 Big Sur).
Same behavior in both browsers. I have other browser options but don't like to use them.

Hmmm, I'm not seeing this on my end, on Chrome, when viewing your preferred ("Member"/default visitor) display Style. I may need to test as you.

Update: okay, I'm seeing the column widths change when sorting by many fields but not all (such as by Tags and Media, etc.). I suspect this is going to be rather tricky to nail down, I'm guessing there are a number of factors at play: how many fields are there per display Style, which fields are there (and how do they react with one another re: sorting and width), whose library are you looking at (does it differ when you look at your own vs. other members), etc.

I'll pass this to developers in case they have any obvious ideas but this might require some significant digging. It might just need to wait until we can redesign the page for LT2, but I really don't have a good idea about that so don't quote me.

Thanks for your patience with this, if you find any other quirks/specifics that might help tease this out please post it here.

Deferring until catalog redo.
