I read the beginning of this book somewhere between 2012-2015 in the US. It was heavily marketed towards Percy Jackson fans, and was about a boy who's the son of Zeus.
One day, he gets a letter from Zeus informing him of his parentage and gets invited to Mount Olympus (I believe for some sort of school/training, but I'm not entirely sure). The boy believes it's a prank until he touches Zeus' signature and gets shocked. He decides he's going to go to Mount Olympus and that's when I stopped reading.
The book was around 200-250 pages or so.
Thank you reading!

This exact scenario happens in Athena the Brain, except it happens to a girl, not a boy. Is it possible this is the book you're thinking of? The other details mostly line up: 2010 publication date, 176 pages, definitely an attempt to capitalize on the mythology fiction craze kicked off by Percy Jackson.

From the book:
A blazing gold Z shaped like a thunderbolt—Zeus's official seal—was embossed alongside the drawing. She traced her finger over it.
"Ow!" A burst of electricity buzzed her fingertip, and she dropped the scroll. As the sizzle zinged through her, the scroll shut with a snap and rolled across the carpet. No question about it, this letter was from the King of Mount Olympus!

>9 slimikin: Yes! I'm sure this is it! I think I conflated her with a male protagonist in a story I read at around the same time. Thank you so so much!

>10 RosetheReader: You're very welcome! I'm glad this turned out to be the right book. And given the utterly mind-boggling number of mythological male protagonists around that time, I can imagine how easy it would be to conflate Athena with them. :D
