Difficulty handling special characters in Search Your Libray fields dropdown label on Te Reo Māori LT

Most of the catalog search categories that have been translated into Te Reo Māori have macrons over one of their vowels. This is fine when I first open Your Books and click the field dropdown on the Search Your Library.
If I pick another search field from the drop down it displays with incorrect characters replacing any macrons (even though the same text is still correct in the dropdown).
If I reload the page the incorrect symbols go away.
But they recur every time I select a search field with a macron.
