Going back to the UK soon, and hoping to pick up a few recent releases by Folio Society. My accommodation arrangements are not suited for mail orders, therefore I was trying to find their retail presence in London.
In the past, around 2012-2013, I did buy a number of Folio Society's editions from places such as Hatchards in Piccadilly and the shop of the British Museum. Was wondering if the Londoner ladies and gentlemen on here can advise on where else to look.
Thank you

Harrods had a small selection in their book section, though that was way back around 2019. If I recall they even had a LE, think it might have been the facsimile fairy tales though I think it did feel pretty grimy from a lot of handling.

>2 wongie: Fantastic information. I would've never thought of looking in Harrods. Much appreciated.

>2 wongie: Harrods moved their book department into the basement early last year & in the process downsized - they no longer have a specific (small) folio section as they used to when it was upstairs. A few left-over volumes (including the grubby Fairy Tales) were just mixed in with the general shelving which is now mainly paperbacks. The same happened last year with Selfridges book department which used to have a small folio section but no longer does. The Harrods book concession used to be run by Waterstones (who also own Hatchards, Foyles & Blackwells) but a couple of years ago I believe was changed to WH Smith which may explain the change in stock profile. I suppose this is better for Folio as they make more money selling directly to customers than selling wholesale to stores which take a large cut of the selling price.

I believe I have seen some of their books in Selfridges's flagship store in London as well.
