I read this book about 6 years ago and it was a bit older. I would guess it was set in the 1990s or early 2000s. I remember this story started with the girl kind of nervous about meeting the guy who was going to rent part of her apartment. I believe his name was Jack and I think her dad had chosen him so she didn't know the guy. She ends up bumping into him in the hallway (I think he had just taken a shower and didn't have a shirt on). She is surprised to see how gorgeous and young he is. As the book progresses they start liking each other (The sex is detailed if i remember correctly and very yummy!). I believe she owns an antique shop that is on the bottom level of the apartment. Part of the plot was how she got this one antique and it was somehow involved with a crime. I can't remember if it was a vase, painting, jewels or a note. If i remember correctly someone comes after it and breaks into her apartment and then later attacks her. Her roommate protects her and the police get the thief.

Other details: Jack works out in his apartment and might've been a retired policeman. He had ptsd or something like that which is why he quit. They called each other by their last names throughout the book. Both their last names were long I think. His was something like Cavanaugh and hers started with an R maybe? The cover of the book was sort of white and I think it had a diamond on it. I have been searching for it for a long time and would appreciate any help I can get!!
