Various circumstances have kept me from contributing as much as I would like to, but it is most gratifying and heartening to see so many new members (now over 400!), and knowledgeable and enthusiastic contributors.

My sincerest wishes for a most happy and healthy holiday and New Year! I can't express my full hopes as well as Tennyson expressed them in the section of "In Memoriam" from which I quoted for the subject of this post.

This forum has given me much joy these last couple of pestilent years.

Happy holidays everyone! I'm very happy this forum exists; I've learned so much and been able to share what I know with the community, and feel very lucky indeed to know all of you! :)

I'll add my thanks to Robert for starting this group and keeping it going with $64,000 questions (time for another one, please). I'm one year old in GMD age and have been so enriched and intellectually stimulated by the community.

With Christmas travel and then the Baker Street Irregulars in New York, I haven't been around the forum much. But I join heartily in the welcoming the new year for the Group and especially in praising Robert for what he has done for us all.
