Logged out when click on author

Viewing my books with covers. I click on some cover, then click on author name. I get the author page but I am logged out !

Since I see you're in France, do you by any chance access LT via one of the language-specific sites (eg. fr.librarything.com or librarything.fr)?

If so, what site are you taken to when you click on the author name? The same one, or the www.librarything.com site? Does the url start with https or http?

LT doesn't automatically log you into other language versions, so I'm wondering whether the links in this case might be defaulting to some different version of LT rather than the one you are on. I vaguely recall there being some weirdness of this sort connected to the non-English sites at one point.

I start with https://fr.librarything.com/catalog/domp, logged in, and then I am at https://www.librarything.fr/author/jablonkaivan and logged out.

LT treats fr.librarything.com and librarything.fr as different sites in terms of log-in data.

I don't know why clicking on author links in your catalog is directing you to the .fr site instead of keeping you on the one you are on, however.

I use the de.librarything.com site and this isn't happening to me, so it isn't a general problem with the non-English versions of LT.

Maybe I should login into librarything.fr, rather than fr.libraything.com, seems I don't have the problem then.

I wouldn't use fr.librarything.com, only https://www.librarything.fr . I've reported this to the developers in the meantime, so we can handle this better. Thanks for the report.

Also (not sure if this will matter or not), what operating system and web browser are you using? Thanks.

- I login into fr.librarything.com
- display my books (by covers, not list !)
- click on one cover, then click on author name within the dialog
- takes me to the author page but I am logged out !
I have seen this for months. Using Firefox in general.
I get the author page in libraything.fr instead of fr.libraything.com, maybe I am disconnected because moved to another site.

No problem when login into librarything.fr, I will do that from now on.

fr.librarything.com isn't supported anymore, I don't think. librarything.fr should work. Closing.
