Non-Fiction Parenting Adult Alcoholics Read 2015

Around 2015, I read a book written by a father & wife. Both of them had been raised by parents who abused alcohol, and so both of them had chosen to abstain from drinking. They got married to each other, had children of their own and then, much to their shock, as those children grew into adults, the kids started abusing alcohol and/or drugs. The children called their parents in the middle of the night to beg for money, to the point of harassment. The parents began to deploy Tough Love to regain their lives and sanity, putting up reasonable boundaries with their grown children and, over time, their relationship began to improve. I don't think this is "approved" literature for any 12-step group, and I don't think it was written by doctors. This was a real-life account of what this family experienced and how the use of self-care and boundaries allowed them to regain their balance. Any help in finding the title would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!!
