Just finished The History of Rome: The Republic by Michael Duncan. A good overview of the founding of Rome through the crumbling of the Roman Republic. 371 pages

Finished The Pioneers by David McCullough. A history of the settlement of the Northwest Territory, specifically the Ohio River Valley. 379 pages

Finished Hunting Trips of a Ranchman: Sketches of Sport on the Northern Cattle Plains by Theodore Roosevelt--a good piece of history about Roosevelt's time on his ranch in Medora, South Dakota. I think hunters might like it more than I did, but it wasn't a bad book.

Read What is Life Worth? by Kenneth Feinburg about the financial settlement of 911.
