What did YOU buy today? May 2021

Wandered into DollarTree and found Caesar’s Last Breath, for a dollar of course. I had never heard of it but LT rates it at 4+ stars.

Amazing poet, Danusha Lameris. Daughter shared her poem ‘Feeding the Worms’ and I had to see more. The Moons of August came in the mail.

Bought one book so far this month: You Never Forget Your First by Alexis Coe, a biography of George Washington.

Couldn’t pass up The Last Hero: A Discworld Fable for 99 cents. it’s a first edition too, though not in collectible condition.

Last week I went bookshopping again, to save me from a dark space in my mind... Overdid it a bit, I guess, siunce I bought all these books for their full price... 😋 But then, I never regret any money I spend on books.

Yesterday I found Dead Souls, 5th Avenue 5 a.m. and The last Painting of Sara de Vos at the friends of the library. Today I went into a thrift store and found The Rolling Stone Encyclopedia of Rock and Roll, The History of Danish Dreams, Lucia in London and The Continental Army.

Trying to be good this month. Bought 1 and brought home 5 ARCs.

It hasn’t arrived yet, but I couldn’t resist The Book of Mini. It has a tiny replica of itself secured in a sleeve on the inside of the cover.
