I just saw this listing for original photographs on eBay:
"Robert Sage, Graveurs parisiens, 9 photographies originales pour Life Magazine, mars 1949.
I will not buy it, but it would be interesting to acquire a copy of the relevant Life Magazine. The question is what issue it is. Wasn't Life a weekly?

There is a digital archive of Life magazine that might help you out: https://books.google.com/books?id=gU0EAAAAMBAJ&source=gbs_all_issues_r&c.... If you click on the 1945 tab you can then scroll over to the March '49 issues and try to track this down.

>2 AMindForeverVoyaging: Thank you for that information. What a gold mine!
Unfortunately, it seems like the information in the eBay listing was not correct, or perhaps it just meant that the photos were taken in March but appeared in a later issue. I have checked through both March and April, without finding anything. Won't give up yet, though.
Edit: Found this Heritage Press ad, though: https://books.google.se/books?id=vUEEAAAAMBAJ&pg=PA9&dq=galanis&hl=s...
