Visited any interesting settings recently?

So, while I was sick recently, I was watching yet another Wuxia drama, this one of the "god tales" variety, where practically every single character can do magic, and I was thinking "Huh, I've never written anything with so much magic, it might be interesting to try that sometime." But I didn't want to encourage myself to build yet another story universe, and none of my current universes seemed to fit...

...Until I realized I could use a very similar excuse for so much magic as the one the drama used. The story could be set in the afterlife of one of the worlds I had already created. So everyone in the story has already lived and died, and faced Judgement Day, and now they are Immortals, (with the occasional God making a guest appearance.)

It was bit strange trying to write plots for characters who not only can't die, they can't even feel pain. But that it was wierd and strange was what made it so fun, right?

Anyone out there bumped into some fun worldbuilding recently?
What about a real world location that struck you as a particularly fun place to set a story?
