READ BEFORE POSTING

Although we do allow promotional posts in certain threads (see list), very few people browse those threads unless they see a username they recognize. Ultimately, this is a place to talk not a place to advertise.

Do's and Don'ts

AUTHORS:
DO introduce yourself in the Author Introduction Thread.
DO join the on-going discussion threads, (they'll offer you plenty of opportunities to talk about your writing). These threads are where all the actual hobnobbing happens.
DO take an interest in the other posters, responding to what they say and asking them questions.
DO feel free to start new threads on topics of general interest to authors and readers like plot, characterization, writing styles, etc.
DO NOT start a thread about you or your book.

READERS:
DO introduce yourself in the Reader Introduction Thread.
DO Join in the discussions. Ask questions. Get to know the other posters.
DO NOT let the authors do all the talking. It's bad for them. :)

REVIEWERS:
We have a Reviewers Seeking Books thread where readers who like writing and posting reviews can let authors know what sorts of books they would be interested in getting in exchange for reviews. Authors who are willing to post reviews in exchange for getting reviews on can also sign up there.
