This was in my elementary/middle school's library, I probably read it in the late 2000s or early 2010s.
The cover was white with green imagery. I recall it having a tree, and possibly a crack/fracture on the cover.
I vaguely recall the point of view of a girl, and at least one other character, possibly a boy. They were in different times or dimensions, and they were connected by a wormhole/portal in or at tree on both their properties. I remember there was a scene where one of them discovered this by accident by climbing the tree, falling off a branch, and ending up in the other person's time/dimension.
