moving books from "your library" to a specific collection

Is there a way to move 62 books in bulk from "Your Library" to a newly named/created collection?

Yep - Power Edit.
Look at the top of the page on your catalog. Do you see the icon that looks like a lightning? It is between the sorting one and the printer one. It changes how your catalog looks like and allows you to manipulate books in bulk (delete books and manipulate (add/remove) tags and collections plus do changes in languages, media and from where in bulk). When done, press the icon again to get in normal mode. :)
