Combining 2 copies of a book

The book title "Nobody Will Tell You This But Me: A true (as told to me) story" by Bess Kalb has 2 copies in the LibraryThing catalog. One is in hardback and the other paperback. Is there a way to combine them into 1?

If they are the same book, and the system recognizes them as being the same, you can click on the Editions tab in the left hand column, then click the Combine/Separate Potentials link with the list. If the system doesn't believe they are the same book, you'd need to put it in the work bench to combine them.
