LOA's New Web Site for Members and Subscribers

For those who haven't yet discovered it for themselves, LOA has overhauled its web site for members and subscribers. That is where you can do account management, etc. It is also how you get access to the ability to order slipcased editions of LOA's main series and other editions, too, its primary attraction for me. There were issues that made it difficult to use when it was first implemented, but many of those kinks have been worked out.

Getting to where you can order volumes is a small puzzle. Once you get past the sign-in process (the first time requires you to effectively re-create your account), you are taken to a page with an Account Summary and a column of navigation links on the left of the page body. In order to see the page where you can order volumes, you have to go to the My Subscriptions link. At present, you can't get to it by right clicking on it to open it in a new tab or window (I'm using a Windows PC). You have to left click on it. Once you are in the My Subscriptions page, look for a hypertext link in the body text of the page that says, "online store exclusively for subscribers and members". Either a right click (new tab or window) or left click this time will get you to the page with the offers.

The first thing you might notice is that you can now order the first Octavia Butler volume of LOA's edition of her works. Mine is already in the mail.

IMHO, there are still kinks in LOA's new subscriber pages, but for the most part, they don't present too much of a problem any more. Good luck with it.

Thanks for this! This new system is pretty buggy and it wasn't clear to me how to get to the subscriber store. Butler ordered!

I can’t wait until they open up shipping to Canada again! So many books I want!

RRCBS -- I second the "I can't wait" regarding shipment outside the USA (something that even small press publishers -- Subterranean, for instance -- is able to do nicely using USPS with first class or international rates, which I happily pay). I would LOVE to be able to get a book when it arrives early, as has the Octavia E. Butler volume. (sigh).
