Duplicate choices in catalog Sort By menu

If you open your LT catalog, and click on the little up/down-arrows button to open the Sort By screen, a few of the options in the menu are duplicated - they appear twice, one right after the other. The first copy of a duplicated entry works as intended, sorting by what it is called; but the second copy always sorts by title instead.

The affected choices are:
publication, privatecomments, average rating (workrating), summary, entry date (stamp), volumes

The same duplications happen in the companion Subsort By selection menu.

Replicated in Chrome on a Mac. Screenshot:

Yes, I noticed this a while back (Firefox, Windows 10) but have been too lazy to post a thread.

Where is that button? I don't see it.

Never mind, found it. I never use it, so it was off my radar.

Thanks. A complete rewrite of the catalog code is coming soon—actually already started—so we'll tackle this inconsistency then.

>4 lilithcat: Yeah, that button is something most people probably don't use vs clicking on the column headings to sort, but it's useful when you've run out of fields you're allowed to display (I'd love to see those limits increased when that rewrite happens, btw - more views, and more max fields per view) and want to sort by one of the undisplayed fields. There are also a few fields that can't be sorted on any other way because they aren't in a normal column, like number of members who own that work.

>6 Opteryx: Yeah, I frequently sort by "Total reviews" and "Total members" (because I like picking books to read that have no other reviews on LT so that I can plug in that "gap"), and that menu is the only way to do it.

Closing as will-be-superseded by new catalog, and won't be worked on before that. Thanks for the report.
