Possible 1990s romance paperback, fantasy setting, something about "star"

I bought a box of books at a yard sale from an older lady; it was around 2009, and the books were a wide range of years/topics but all were romance. This book in particular had a cover with periwinkle and/or purple as the main color, I think, and I THINK it had blossoming trees. I don't remember very well but think it looked dated/faded, and would guess that it was probably a 90s romance paperback

The setting was magical/high fantasy, with kings, queens, princesses, etc

I want to say the main female character was some kind of chosen one, something to do with being born under the right stars or her name was stars
or she had a star birthmark? There was something significant about stars

I recall she had dark hair

I didn't read all of it before it ended up disappearing in a move, but I clearly remember one scene: she goes to a rival kingdom in disguise, where a prince or king is being told by a male friend of a woman (maid, cook) who is very promiscuous and who would role-play if asked during such...ventures. The main guy goes to his room later, where the main female character happens to be waiting for him (can't remember why; attacking him? Giving him a message?). He notices she is pretty and believes she's the woman his friend was telling him about, and attempts to seduce her, believing she is role-playing with him. He figures out that she's being serious in attacking him and backs off, and if I remember correctly she is imprisoned after for questioning since she is a stranger. I think they ended up being the main couple later.

Help?

Cover and title suggest Elven Star.

>3 Cecrow: hey there! Thank you, but I'm not totally sure that's it. I think this one was more of a bodice ripper type book (explicit romance) than an actual high fantasy. I know for sure that the main guy in this scene I remember was a king or a lord in a castle and it had a medieval feel.

I think that the cover had periwinkle/lavender blossoming trees and if I really press my memory there might have been a lady leaning over a well (?). I feel like it was in a courtyard.

On the flip side, what you said DOES look interesting!! Do you recommend?

>5 Cecrow: oh, bummer 😂 I have a long reading list but don't feel like reading any of them, so I'm prowling for something new.

I appreciate your honesty!
