I think Bryant is good for her and keeps her calm when she needs it. I felt bad for him this round that he wasn't able to get through to her but he obviously knew what she needed (ie. Barney)

Bryant is a good guy who sees the good in Kim and wants to try to help her through the bad spots. Kim really likes Bryant but still fights hard not to get too close because of the trauma of her childhood. But she knows she can count on him.

I think Kim is afraid to get close to anyone. She thinks friendliness leads to weakness. Bryant is the person she lets see her true self, on those rare occasions.

Bryant and Kim have always had a close partnership/friendship from the very first book. She trusts him to keep her on track...which she desperately needs at time. He seems to understand her "needynes" and is willing to cut her some slack when she "acts out"...which is often...but he tells her when she has gone overboard. He is exactly what will keep Kim from going off the deep end with her guilt over her mothers actions and over Mikey's death...neither of which was her fault.

Yes, he is just the kind of person Kim would let into her life. He understands she is reticent to get close to anyone. He is a friend to her and acts when needed, but mostly stands back and lets her be.

Kim is lucky to have found someone like Bryant. She needs him in her life.
