What do you think happened that led to Emily being found? What do you think happened to Suzie?

I think it was Emily in the van in the prologue and that she was being returned in that scene (rather than kidnapped). Could Will and company be so sick as to have made the girls make the choice as to which one got returned? In any case, I think Susie is still with Will

Will mentioned earlier that mistakes were made the first time. I don't know what those were but I think that's what made him let Emily go but he kept Susie.

Possibly they were forced to return Emily for some reason.

The first girl's families didn't seem capable of giving any huge amounts of money like the current families can...but maybe money isn't the motivator here..maybe it's power and his ability to incite terror and make the parents make the impossible choices of which girl lives and which one dies...so I can see him enjoying watching the girls make that choice.
