Aliasing: What to do with the two resulting Author pages?

When you alias an author split, you end up with the split author page, and the alias author page. So we have George Grant (2) and George Parkin Grant. Same author, mostly the same works listed.

Should we be treating the more particular alias name as the main author page, and populating it with the CK data, picture etc, or the split name? Or should we duplicate all the CK, picture, etc across both author pages? I think by definition, the alias name will have all the works of the author, while the split name will be missing some in many instances.

I would say that if you only do one it should be the page aliased to, as that is the one with a fuller list of books.

I always copy all CK on both pages, but agree with MarthaJeanne. People will arrive at both pages, depending on how they have the author name entered, so it makes sense to have the info on both. It also helps disambiguate to have it on the split too
