Anyone seen this movie? I have just finished the book and enjoyed it, and really want to see the film now, especially as it stars Javier Bardem and Tommy Lee Jones.

Yeah! Go see! After some discussion on another thread I saw the film before I read the book and was, in this instance, glad I did so. As an Englishman, the West Texas accent and landscape are unfamiliar and I benefitted from an audio-visual demonstration. I thought it was a great film and, having read the book, it struck me how little that Cormac McCarthy had left the script writers and directors to do. TLJ was made for the world-weary sheriff and Bardem was suitably spooky - the coin-tossing scene in the garage was particularly effective.

In that scene in the book (in the garage), I could feel the tension! Just found out that the DVD is out on May 12th - going to preorder a copy now!

I loved this movie. The Tommy Lee Jones character made the movie for me. Otherwise it's another violent shoot em up. Will have to read the book now on your recommendation.

I watched the movie a few weeks ago, and loved it. Excellent acting all round - Josh Brolin was a revelation! TLJ is always terrific, and Javier Bardem as Chigurgh was frankly terrifying!
