Have you checked out the new version of WorldCat.org? They’ve done a major update. Once you register for a free account, there are all these cool tools to use. The following descriptions are from their homepage.
MAKE LISTS OF BOOKS, VIDEOS, ARTICLES AND MORE
Your list can be public or private. Start building a list from any item record from the “Save to:” option under the “Save It” heading. You can also start a list in WorldCat search results. Check items you want to add, and use the “Save to” option.
BUILD A BIBLIOGRAPHY
Click “Cite this item” on any item record to view citations in the five most common styles, or export a citation to the EndNote or RefWorks formats. You can also build a list of items and use the Citations View to export a bibliography in one of the five different formats. They have a link to a minute and a half video tutorial.
PUT WORLDCAT WHERE YOU WANT IT
Our tools help you keep library resources close at hand from your browser or personalized Web page. You can also find WorldCat results in popular search engines, or create reference links to WorldCat pages. 1) Get a search plug-in for Facebook or Firefox. 2) Put our search box on your Web page. 3) Search WorldCat in Google or Yahoo! 4) Build web links to WorldCat information.

Thanks for referring us to WorldCat. How are you coordinating what you have entered into LibraryThing with WorldCat? Are you able to move items in your library from one site to the other without a lot of duplicate keying?

I'm sorry. I just discovered the changes in WorldCat and haven't started to integrate the two sites. I'd love to hear from library techies on how they're doing it!

I just joined the group. I use Worldcat all the time to help in various efforts on LT, like finding out original publication date, how obscure a book really is, etc.
I am under the impression that full use of Worldcat requires some sort of license. So, I'm not sure that they are interested in integration with LT.

OCLC is moving in quite the opposite direction, tightening up data access rules. There are a number of user features on WorldCat—over which, frankly, tumbleweed rolls softly. Putting your library in WorldCat will set you back thousands, then as now. (That's why most small public libraries aren't in. I don't believe there are any church libraries in.) And once your hard word is incorporated they'll forbid anyone to access it except under their terms.

Which has discouraged maintenance of records, particularly for deleted items. And has resulted in holdings (listing of physical locations for items) records for individual library that are becoming very unreliable.

Let's hope. I don't think it will happen unless WC falters. But I think that's in the cards...
