Do you look for specific or generalized scenarios? Do you look for specific behaviours/attitudes/aggression levels/roles? Do you look for location specific scenes? Or do you like to get comfortable, with a favorite liquid refreshment and/or snack and give yourself to the author to be taken to who knows where who know when with who knows who to witness who knows what?
Personally I like the latter, though I do admit I have scenarios floating around in my head that I'd like to see.

>2 Laity45: Same here. I don't like anything to do with domination or punishment.

I need a good distraction from politics, so I'll join in here.
Do you look for specific or generalized scenarios?
Specific.
Do you look for specific behaviours/attitudes/aggression levels/roles?
Yes, though my reading preferences even within M/M Romance aren't easy to find. I'll settle for anything interesting that doesn't gross me out too much or gets me angry.

Going with the flow is good sometimes. That's what got me into reading erotic books.

>3 Dave_v2: I like light bondage, no serious discipline (because there are more romantic ways of handling a brat, IMO), some dominance and submission, and very little sadism and masochism. (Why did I say "very little"? Certain types of hurt/comfort are definitely my thing.)
A little blood or bruising can be fun, especially with supernatural characters. When a mistake might make a guy lose a body part, that's horror, not erotica.

>4 aspirit: I gave up on politics long ago as a lost cause :/
From what I've seen/read/heard so far the more personal (between those in the story) the more interesting. Finding a balance between the interpersonal interactions (taking the lead or following) depends on how it's done. When it crosses enough imaginary lines I stop. Next question is "what" lines? I don't know it's undefined and I'm not sure how to articulate it. Finally, as far as flow goes - I'm open. Sometimes the stream is a brook, sometimes a torrent, sometimes it goes over falls, and other times it sets in a pool.

>5 aspirit: I guess I had a sheltered life. Many see things the way you do. Life itself isn't a bed of roses - maybe a bed of thorns, but not roses. When it comes to erotica I like pleasure sometimes very intense pleasure other times a slow evening where things progress slowly and last for hours.

>7 Dave_v2: I don't feel comfortable with stories that are too unlike my own experiences. Soft fluff has its fans, definitely, but I need a few barbs with it. Placement and pacing can vary.

>6 Dave_v2: it worries me that you say politics is a lost cause. I fight for my life by participating in politics. That's a different topic, though.

>10 aspirit: Politics is important and will always be important. Trying to be all things to all people isn't possible. Some will be pleased, some won't, some convinced, others cannot be convinced. A good politician doesn't commit - they dance. Soon as they commit they alienate a percentage of the population. Some overcome that by saying whatever to whoever then reversing themselves ten minutes later and blame their opponent for "flip-flopping" all in the same breath.
Without them we are truly screwed. With them we get to pay to be screwed.
