Hi there

I'm back on trying LibraryThing. I am looking for a quick way to add the details for audio books from Audible or Kobo. I didn't see a search source for them.

Example: Book Algorithms to Live By which as an Audible audiobook according to Audible has the ISBN 9781480560352 (not 9781480560345).

I couldn't find this ISBN via the Overcat or any Amzon source, but an internet search reveals that it is a Kobo book as well.

I really would like find an easy way to add Audible books, but this is not the first time I cannot find them via a LibrayThing search.

Do I do something wrong to select Audible as a source?

Thanks,
Leo

If you search the Amazon sources by the title, then add a comma and Audio at the end, I get an Audible book coming up from both Amazon.com Books and Amazon.com All Media.

You'd need to edit the record to ADD the ISBN, but that might be closer.

Thanks, gilroy. Strange thing is when I search for "Algorithms to life by, audio" I don't get Audible, only Brilliance.

The one Audible sells is published by Brilliance Audio too, if you look at the publisher listed on their page. Audible does publish some, but this isn't one of them.

Right- not all audible products are published by them.

Ok, but when I add the Brilliance book to LT and look at its editions it comes up with Audible: 0 Editions:

>6 halloleo: You'll also notice it says 0 editions for Kindle and Project Gutenberg.

OH LT is so confusing. Those aren't add to catalog sources, those are external sites that might have the book in question. Problem is that the audible feed has been dead for years and really should be taken down or fixed. To make it disappear from your view click the pencil to edit the Quick Links section.

Make sense?

Good points, gilroy & Bookmarque. Will just learn to live with LT's idiosyncrasies...
