Hi, LibraryThing friends.

Are there any tips on how to generate LC numbers for a private library, and tips or tricks for finding LC numbers quickly?

Best Tip: Use the LoC as a source.
Second best tip: look the book up at the LoC and get the number that way.
Third best tip: Look to the copyright page of the book itself. Newer books have the LoC number listed there sometimes.
