Was Elaine right to stop Kim from talking directly to the girls?

Yes. I think the girls are traumatized and in strange surroundings. Elaine needed to tread lightly and she didn't know Kim or have any idea how Kim would talk to them.

Yes because Elaine didn't want the girls to be traumatized from a bunch of questions from Kim.

Elaine didn't know Kim and her first responsibility was to the girls who were already traumatized and being in an unfamiliar place wasn't helping the trauma a lot. Smart move on Kim's idea of the bear.

Yes. They need some time before they can be questioned.

Yes. Ask the wrong questions in the wrong way and you can lose those kids completely. Elaine knows where she's coming from, and it would be unlikely we'd have two rogue psychiatrists in one story...

yes. The girls didn't need another stranger asking them questions. They were already familiar with Elaine and were most likely to respond to her without additional trauma
