Well, my 2019 thread was a bit of a dud. Let's see if I can do better in 2020.

It's early January and snowing picturesquely. No gardening is happening, but yesterday I got all my seeds out and went through them, chucking the empty packets and updating my spreadsheet. I have 74 (SEVENTY FOUR!!) varieties of tomatoes left from previous years, and what am I going to do if I see a new and interesting variety in a seed catalogue? Probably buy more tomatoes. Doh!

One of each of those would be more than I have room to plant, but as usual, I'll probably start multiples of each because what the heck. Anything worth doing is worth overdoing. I can always give away tomato plants that I can't fit in. Also, some of the seed is old so germination may be an issue.

For the last 10 years at least, I've used the veg garden space in my next-door neighbour's yard, in addition to my own yard and my community garden plot. Said neighbour is elderly and decided that she couldn't manage the garden herself but didn't want it to go to waste so offered me the chance to use it. Of course I said yes! But she's almost 98 years old now, and since early December she's had various health challenges, so I think her ability to live by herself in her house is coming to an end. Unless we decide to buy her house (which we have considered, but I'm not sure we're being realistic), I will more than likely lose that space in the spring.

I can always dig up more grass in my own yard, though. I've still got plenty :)

I read the title of your thread and was like, hm, garden that is bigger inside than outside -- how exactly is that planned -- and then I saw it was you. lol

Still, I need details of your laws-of-physics-breaking garden.
