As I was cataloging a book I've owned for probably 20 years, I found 4 gag book jackets under the correct one. They were evidently produced by Reginald S. Leister of the Leister Game Co in Toledo, C1959. An example is "So You Want To Be A Safecracker" by Ronnie G. Swindler, published by Sing Sing Press. It comes complete with liner notes on the back, a photo of the "author" (in this case behind bars) and other comic material. Has anyone else seen these?

"Awesome" might be a little strong, but I found a rare book dealer offering one of the four for $200 online. No mention of any others, nor did I find any on eBay.

One should not disparage great literature such as MAD, although I must confess I haven't seen an issue for a few years. These would fit right into MAD circa 1960.

That's very cool indeed. Not sure if this qualifies, but the hardcover edition of The Brand New Monty Python Bok that I own has an extremely nondescript dust jacket, featuring only the title on an off-white background. The actual cover underneath the dust jacket is a farcical version of some generic porno magazine titled "Tits & Bums". It was several days after I bought the book that I noticed.
