Any thoughts about Lord Fairchild? Should Lady Sewell have killed him?

She probably should have killed him but if she had, her children would have been at the mercy of relatives or whatever passed as "the state" at the time (probably the church) and who could be sure of their safety then?

Someone should have killed him and probably will if there are enough more books:) I'm glad that she thought about what would happen to her children if she did.

He was a monster but it wasn't Lady Sewell's place to kill him - two wrongs don't make a right. She has done the right thing in demanding custody of her remaining sister.
Maybe someone else can assassinate the man.

He’s a horrible person but her life and her children’s would’ve been ruined if she killed him. She made a good decision to get custody of her younger sister.

Yes, he deserves to be killed.

I think he deserved to die but she probably wouldn't have been able to do irt. Getting custody of her sister was the next best thing.
