Any thoughts once it was revealed as a plot to kill the Prime Minister?

Unless her family is involved in the plot, I think that let's them off the murder - she was running from the Academy because she overheard the plot and understood it though it'd been discussed in French. I wonder if it was the man who accosted the PM in the street that night when he was talking with Sebastian.

This would also be an opportunity to bring Kat back in if Sebastian/Jarvis had to ask if she'd heard anything in her network

I think the men were speaking French and Rose understood what they were saying that's why Rose ran from the Academy because she knew the man would kill her.

She understood what they were saying in French and realized she needed to get away quickly.

No one had to tell that girl that she was in way over her head. Her choices were run or be killed. As it turned out she really was doomed from the time she overheard the conversation and they realized that she understood it.

Do I have this right???? The men spoke in French so that if they were overheard no one would know what they were talking about. They assumed that these people were "common" and wouldn't have known any French. Since Rose/Rachel was aristocrat she would have been taught French...hence they didn't know who she was or who her family was. So is the reason she ran away and ended up at the Academy was to escape her father and maybe her brother...but the reason she was killed was because she overheard the men talking had nothing to do with her family?

>5 Carol420: You got it.

>1 Andrew-theQM: As far as I can recall, Lord Fairchild (Snr) is opposed to Perceval, so perhaps Fairchild (Jr) is too, and has got himself involved in the plot - which might be how they found out Rose would have understood their talk.

I don’t know why the men want to kill Perceval but >2 bhabeck: and >7 Sergeirocks: have raised an interesting idea - when Rose overheard the men speaking French did the conversation include Lord Fairchild as being part of the murder plot?

>5 Carol420: That’s the way I read it. Great summary.
