Lord Fairchild was known to like young girls, Lady Fairchild was found shot. Any Thoughts?

The insinuation is that Lady Fairchild committed suicide but I suspect that Lord Fairchild may have had a hand in her death because she may have tried to protect Rachel from him. I do wonder if this is a false lead (the molestation) based on the way Rachel's sister reacted. I don't know much about the topic but I would have thought the older daughter would have been more at risk simply because she would have developed earlier or because of protecting a younger sibling but that doesn't seem to be the case.

I thought Rachel exhibited classic signs of child molestation when we were told she buried her dolls. At this point I'm thinking she was molested by her father.

Like Brenda, (>2 bhabeck:), I feel we are being given a false lead with Lord Fairchild.
Rose only fled Kane's after her brother found out where she was (or so it seems to me), so I'm suspecting the brother and a bunch of his cronies probably gang raped her - she talked about only being fit for a whore's life, which would fit with being used by many men. Again, my opinion.
No ideas as to Lady Fairchild's death.

I still think that it's the brother that she's running from. Her father may have been her childhood molester originally but you know what they say about the apple not falling far from the tree...two of them might have been too much for her especially with her mother dead.

I suspect Lord Fairchild has killed his wife but I think it's the brother that Rose/Rachel is running away from.

>4 Sergeirocks: - That's a good point. The brother and his friends are more likely to be the "they" she was talking about.

It sounds like Lord Fairchild shot or had someone shoot his wife and he was molesting his daughters and any other little girls he could get his hands on. Of course it’s all speculation so more information is needed.
