I like Austenblog.com...I also have my own Jane Austen blog, though it's pretty new and I haven't had time to really post much: janeaustenfan.wordpress.com

Check out my blog:

I'd be happy to receive comments here and/or there, as to what you think about my posts there.

Another group member got me started on this one, which can be quite insightful and funny:

There is a new one by the authors of 'Lady Vernon and Her Daughter' called 'janetility.com'
The authors dont update as often as on some of the other blogs but the articles are very good and the 'lost letters of Jane Austen' where 'Jane' writes about things like 'Twilight', 'The Bachelor' and 'House' had me laughing out loud

I feel I would be remiss if I did not mention that my favorite Jane Austen blogger has returned and is now tackling Mansfield Park.

I forgot to check how bitchinabonnet was doing with Mansfield Park so thanks for the reminder. I just love this comment (chapters 7-9) about Lady Bertram (my very favourite minor character in all of Austen):

"and there’s a lot of talk along the lines of oh what fun and shall we take only the carriage or also the barouche, and who’s going to sit with Lady Bertram and watch her stare at molecules while we’re gone,"

I've read it three times and it still makes me laugh.

I have an area of my blog devoted to Jane Austen: http://en.wordpress.com/tag/jane-austen-odyssey/

I'm reading the "Big 6" in order of publication and then watching all of the adaptations, and am way behind schedule. I should be working on Persuasion (last book) but am only barely finished with Emma (4th book). I'm watching the 2009 version of Emma right now, will write the column shortly and will then start on Northanger Abbey. I will get this done!

I have to say I'm loving this ... it's like reading Mansfield Park all over again, but this time with an intelligent bitchy friend to discuss it with.

Came upon another blog called 'Austen Authors'. It is a collection of Austen authors who take turns blogging about various subjects, not always Austen related. The link is
austenauthors.net

I saw on the janetility.com blog they were running a give away for book clubs - 6 signed copies of 'Lady Vernon and Her Daughter' - you have to be a book club member to sign up for the drawing. I think it goes on for another week.
