It is Black History Month and there are some good books around. Share with us your latest readings!

Haven't read any comics in February yet, but here's what I finished in the second half of January:
Harley Quinn Vol. 6: Angry Bird
The Witch Boy

On my table waiting to be read are The Highest House, because I will never turn down a Mike Carey/Peter Gross collaboration, and ... Scooby Apocalypse, Vol. 1, which was this month's pick for my comic book club. I'm not super excited about it, but hopefully it will be funny.

Not really "pure" sci-fi, but I'm polishing off the latest Saga graphic novel.

I just read the third and concluding Royal City by Jeff Lemire. (Touchstones not working). Another great series from him.

My further comics reading in February: Eddie Campbell's The Lovely Horrible Stuff and Bad Friends by Ancco, both of which I enjoyed.

I just enjoyed Jaime Hernandez’s Love Bunglers. It reminds me I want to read more Love and Rockets. I’ve read several, but not enough by a long shot.

Love and Rockets is great, but I think that it is almost impossible to track down all Gilbert Hernandez's stuff. This guy is veeeeery prolific!

>9 apokoliptian: Truth! I loved his Heartbreak Soup and Human Diastrophism. Are there others you'd particularly recommend?

Heartbreak Soup and Human Diastrophism is truly great. Regarding Jayme I'd recommed Locas.
Have you ever tried Mister X? It is not the Hernandez Bros. usual "universe", but it shows they in Dean Motter's sandbox. I think it is a good work to check.

Most of Gilbert's latest L&R work (the past 10 years or so) leaves me cold. (I've had zero desire to read the Fritz "B movie" spin-offs.) I have liked some of his non-L&R graphic novels: Marble Season, Bumperhead, and especially Sloth.

>11 apokoliptian: Thanks for the Locas recommendation, apokoliptian. I've liked the Maggie and Hopey stories I've read.
Mister X is new to me. I'll take a look, thanks.
