Were there any ways in which the book could have been improved?

Maya could have been a bit more likable or at least someone that you might shed a drop of empathy for. Actually I liked Eddie and Corey more than any of the others.

I remembered when I was nearly done with the book that I didn't like the ending much the first time I read it.

I can't think of anything.

I liked it both times I read it.

I liked everything about it. I actually liked the way he wrote the Maya character. She was so different from the usual female protagonist. I liked her love of weapons and the way she didn't fall into TSTL stereotypes.

I didn't like Maya at all and even though, as >5 Olivermagnus: says, she was written differently and didn't have the TSTL moments, Coben still could have given us something to like. Even when she interacted with her military buddies, I didn't see much I liked.

I wouldn't change anything.

As a person Maya was a little hard to like, however, I really liked how she was with Lily, she didn't fake it with her, but she was warmer and very clearly loved her. I also liked that nothing and no one was off limits, I hate when characters feel "protected" so you know that nothing is going to happen to them, it's annoying and takes you out of it when there's a fight or any kind of "action".
