What were your thoughts about the identification process and the line up Maya attended?

I was surprised that the lawyer didn't object more. The fact that the police dressed the suspects exactly as she had described them seemed a bit hokey to me

I don't believe that any police department would have done this. The lawyer should have objected more.

First they sidn’t Brief her fully and then took her in cold. What was the point, yes the people had the same clothes and body physique. Would last 2 seconds in court.

I would have to agree with Brenda that it was a bit hokey.

I've never heard of a police department doing this. I thought maybe they were testing Maya to see if she could really identify the guys she said she saw.

I agree with you all. I can't see this type of identification being upheld in court but possibly they only wanted to identify suspects. They can worry about the rest later.

>6 gaylebutz: That would've been my thought, too - testing Maya out, more than anything else, because such an 'identification' would be laughed out of court.

It seemed odd, when I see this sort of thing on TV (I know, very realistic LOL) they give the person the option to participate, this they just sort of sidelined her with. I agreed with the objections and questions of the attorney, none of that should be admissible.
