I'm always onboard for a Tami Hoag but need to read the first one before The Boy. I'm also looking forward to Verses for the Dead but probably not until early 2019.

That's a promising stack of early Christmas presents, :)

I have Amazon Prime and every month Amazon Kindle releases six books a month early and lets Prime members have one free. I chose Bleak Harbor by Brian Gruley this month and just finished it. It was really good and I highly recommend it. It's set in modern times, so it's not historical.
