she didn't think she did but I guess Eileen thought there was something off about Isabella.

Something else I didn't give much thought to at the time, but it does seem a strange thing to give someone.

As a good friend, I just thought Eileen was trying to be protective of Maya and Lily, especially since the husband was murdered. Maybe she thought something else bad might happen. But it does seem to point a finger at Isabella, which I also hadn't considered at the time.

I have to agree with >4 gaylebutz: and >2 bhabeck: has a valid point. She didn't hire Isabella...her husband did based on her family having worked for his family for several generations. She doesn't really know her. I was surprised with her military background that she wasn't more security minded about her pwn child.

I thought it was a bizarre gift to give someone so I assumed there would be something recorded that would be important in the story.

This seemed very strange and bizarre, couldn’t figure why she would go to these steps.

Perhaps Eileen thought that with Isabella being the only parent now that the nanny cam would give her some peace of mind by being able to see Lily.

>9 Carol420: I wonder if Eileen knows more.

It did seem like an odd gift, but I did believe her when she told Maya it was a nice thing to have since she'd be working and Isabella would be with Lily so much, especially now that Joe was gone. She did say that she had one too so maybe she just thought it was a good thing to have? It didn't occur to me at the time that she might know something beyond what we know, but you are all making me suspicious of her motives LOL!

>11 Jen_Bartels: I believe that it was just what Eileen said it was...a gift.

I think that was more about Eileen than Maya but as we see it was quite a necessary plot ploy.
