I know Toni Morrison's name has come up a couple of times in the Future Volumes discussions, but I was surprised there was no separate thread. I was reminded of her while watching Chilling Adventures of Sabrina on Netflix, of all things, where during one of the episodes the topic of banned books comes up and The Bluest Eye is featured prominently. I think everyone would agree we'd all like to see a series of volumes collecting all of her works. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

Pablo: Not sure if you're aware, but Everyman's Library still has a couple of her books -- SONG OF SOLOMON and BELOVED -- still in print. Don't know if that would be speed bump or a road block as regards the path to an eventual LOA set of volumes on Morrison, but I imagine it might be part of the problem (Bradbury is another writer who deserves a volume or two, and he was born a decade before Morrison -- and, like Morrison, he was "picked up" by Everyman's).

Also, the year -- or the year after -- her Noble Prize win, I was almost certain I read about a publisher -- I thought it was Everyman's or Modern Library -- which published a matching set of all of her published novels to that point in time (for some reason, my memory recalls those books a blue-cloth, sans dustjackets -- but I'm probably misremembering that part).

In any case: Yeah, definitely: Toni Morrison should be included in the LOA.

For a long time she was an editorial advisor for LOA, but she doesn't appear on the web site's list now. She's 87 and may be pulling back from a few things.

The Folio Society has a great edition of Beloved:
