Flagged as inappropriate.

Read How authors can use Librarything: LT at large is not a venue for promoting your own books (drive-by or otherwise).

I wasn't clear on that rule, good to know and I'll try to remember so as not to inadvertently perpetuate similar posts in future.

>4 elenchus: It's not a rule, unless you mean programmatic rule. It's simply how the forum software works.

That's what I meant, coding logic of the forum software.

>2 Petroglyph: (and others) I've posted the standard comment on the profile, because it is possible that the originator hasn't seen any of these replies. It's also useful in case it happens again, since there's no claim about not knowing better.

Usually, "Enthusiastic Authors" are noted with a post of the link to the topic (or topics, in this case), and the profile, with an admonition to not flag the profile. Considering the groups the author belonged to, I can see evidence that there was a busy early morning. I always wonder what those authors think when they do this; it never ever works out.

(If there's no replies to a topic, four flags will cause it to be deleted. This one, sadly, will live on, as well as those in the other groups where there was a comment.)

Self promotion of that author's only book is not allow outside threads devoted to authors. I looked at his profile...it has one book....his which he has given it a 5 star rating... No sense of humility here.

This thread attracted me by its title which I see is the title of his book. I will not read his book but I am interested in books with this theme
